Saying goodbye doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. You can still browse around on Jackflap, but our new content will appear on let’s be nomads starting on May 1st of 2013. You can read the explanation below.

On the 17th of september in 2012 we started a project called Jackflap. We wanted to achieve many things, but got kind of lost in trying too much at once. Eight months later, in may 2013, after almost 3000km of longboarding and hitchhiking, 1400km of walking as pilgrims, we finally got a clear picture of what we are: Modern Nomads. We still have the urge to connect people, learn from the world and to live consciously, but on our new website the focus is shifted back to us. We invite you to keep following our story around the world on let’s be nomads.

What makes us Modern Nomads?

We travel the world, love our tent and backpack, enjoy a simple life and try to have a minimal impact on this planet, but at the same time we are a part of the human evolution that keeps amazing us with brilliant inventions like the iPad mini, lightweight camping gear, Instagram or the ultimate traveling network Couchsurfing. Even though we still have no clue of the duration of this part of our lives, we do know one thing for sure; we like to discover and nothing will stop us from following this passion.

Living on a 9 euro-a-day budget is not possible without asking for help and trusting the world. We call it the art of traveling. We share what we value most in life: love, positivity, dreams, experiences and knowledge. And in return locals, friends and fellow travelers give us what they can offer; a bed, a ride or a free meal. These people are not just a part of our story, they are creating it together with us.

In a way we feel that this is only the beginning of our trip, the real start to the next chapter.
